"The Inner Life" is a visual exploration of the unseen worlds that exist within and around us, highlighting the structures that are fundamental to life and consciousness. We live in a world that is defined by outward appearances, yet the most profound truths and processes often occur in places beyond the reach of the naked eye.

Mind, Body, and Soul, 24" x 18" -- In this piece, I explore what it means to be truly alive. Our bodies fight to sustain life every second. When I became interested in neuroscience, I learned that the term “brain-dead” means someone who cannot regain consciousness or breathe without life support, spurring me to realize that the mind, which arises from the brain, and life are unequivocally intertwined. Yet, physicality and spirituality are not mutually exclusive. Our soul and spirit, symbolized by the butterflies, serve to enrich our lives whether it be ascribing to a higher faith or living by a set of moral values. Shown by the string, the body, mind, and soul are intrinsically connected, and work together to create a meaningful life.

Origins of Life, 11" x 14" -- The essence of life is hidden in the smallest structures—cells. In "Origins of Life," I wanted to explore this microcosmic world, to make visible the inner architecture that sustains us. Through abstracted cellular forms and vibrant colors, this piece magnifies the microscopic, revealing the beauty and complexity of the systems that sustain both our physical bodies and our inner experiences.
